This message advocates censorship and if you were receiving net.politics
back then you must remember all of the postings from other usenetters
advocating that Mr. Black be censored because they didn't like his
"America First without apologies" ideology. This is not an open forum as
anyone who questions the motivation and friendship of Israel gets to be an
anti-Semite, thanks to Oded, anyone who questions the humanitarianism of the
Santinistas gets to be a honorary member of the moral majority, I could go
on endlessly.
I am not defending Mr. Black's political viewpoints, nor anyone else's
just noting that this "open forum" is not totally objective and has
in the past, called for the censorship of unpopular opinions.
Please also note that this posting was forwarded from someone who is not
a regular usenet participant by one of the backbone site administrators,
Chug von Rospatch, who on one other occasion sucessfully censored a DEC
employee, and who stated publically that since his site payed the bills
(for usenet) he felt he has the right to censor anyone he feel's like
censoring. I will also note that this censorship effort was successful as
Mr. Black has been restrained by DEC as a result of the efforts of the few who
could not tolerate an open discussion of Don's opinions.
Also to settle the question once and for all Don Black (of DEC) is a
real person, not the grand wazoo of the KKK, he is just an employee of DEC
and private citizen.
