Sadly, I cannot disagree with Mr. Ross.

Also, I cannot see that assigning blame accomplishes anything. In a
sense, it doesn't matter whether Farzin Mokhtarian's imaginative claim
that Israel arms Iranian-based terrorists catch on, nor whether the
response that "Palestinians just want to get rid of the Jews" gains
currency.

I try to separate political obligations from personal relationships:
The building where I work has watchmen (security) at the entrance. It
so happens that almost all the guards at present are Palestinians, their
families living in places as diverse as Lebanon, Abu Dhabi and Detroit.

We're quite friendly, and even argue mideastern politics. [Those
bouts are usually interspersed with reminders to each other to stay on
track and not discusss personal grievances.] I resent the possibility
of an obligation to kill them; I hope (and believe) they resent the
obverse. I'll recommend something to the hate-mongers on the net: Next
time you want to flame about Israel, go to an Israeli and do so
directly, or if you're the other way around you can go to some
Arab/Palestinian/Muslim of your choice and announce your hatred.
Presuming you choose the right victim, who will not put you out of your
misery, see if you can live with yourself after saying what you said.
If you can, THEN report it to the rest of us. Otherwise, go back to
your listener and beg forgiveness, if you have the guts.

Thank you, Oded. Can you re-post this periodically ?
