An interesting aside. The US Postal distress (oops, is it service?) is issuing a stamp in honor of William Jennings Bryan. The article I read mentions only Bryan's name, and the fact that he was the PROSECUTOR of the Scopes Monkey Trial. Bryan was a remarkable orator (something we don't see much in these days of cheap rhetoric and 1 minute "hook" spots), and it's sort of sad to see him mentioned only for the Scopes trial. I dunno if the other side of the council is to be honored with a stamp as well, but one would hope so. Perhaps we ought to urge the postal service to honor the modern side as well as the luddite side. -- TEDDY BEARS HAVE LOTS OF PATIENCE, BUT THEY CAN FIGHT BACK!
