I think the most amazing thing about this whole fiasco was Stevenson and his aides wondering how they could have the Larouchist thrown off the ticket after they had been legally nominated. Doesn't say much for faith in democracy in the Democratic party does it? You don't have to be very imaginative to realize what sort of angry cries would have emenated from the liberals if Reagan or Gov. Thompson publicly considered throwing out the results of elections because of the winners beliefs. I think Larouche is a crackpot, and don't support him, but if you go around saying that democracy is the best way to run a country, then you should be willing to abide by the results of an honest election.
