There is another alternative which I don't suppose the militarists on
the net would have thought of - that is supporting *peaceful* social
change as the American Friends Service Committee does throughout
the world.  Or if you wish to *prevent* human rights abuses join
Amnesty International.  If you are even more committed you could join
Witness for Peace which is striving to prevent conflict between the
Contras and Sandinistas by placing their lives in jeopardy patrolling
the border.
 
If all you really want are the promotion of murder and mayhem
then I suggest you go to the Middle East - it is much more exciting
there.
