[ut.general] Scarborough returns to the network!

bjf@utcs.UUCP (Bruce Freeman) (09/07/84)

After several months of being separated from the rest of us a connection
to the scarborough teaching and research vaxen has returned. The connection
uses DMR's at 4800 baud between this VAX (the new UTCS general purpose UNIX
VAX) and utcsscb (the former VMS research VAX at Scarborough). Utcssca (the
original UNIX VAX at Scarborough) is connected to utcsscb by a 10Mb/sec
ethernet using DEC DEUNA's. Since utcs, the downtown machine, is on our
local ethernet all you have to do to send mail to scarborough is reach any
of the machines on our local network. The machines currently on our local
network are utcseri, utcdfa, utcdfb, utcdfc, utgumby, utcs and of course
utcssca and utcsscb. Enjoy, see the world, talk to the suburbs ...
