                          Abstract

A collection of identical diskless microprocessors sys-
tems, such as 680x0, 32xxx, or microvaxen, has a potentially
huge processing capability per dollar spent. Some issues of
the system aspects of such an installation, including the
demands on a file server, have been studied, and a prelim-
inary tactical system design has been made. This design
will be described, with special emphasis on why some of the
decisions that have been made came out the way they did, and
what other decisions have yet to be made.
