UofT Computing Services is looking for a UNIX systems programmer. The following is an extract from the job posting: Position: System Software Programmer III Salary Range: $39,430 - $46,390 - $53,350 Position Summary: Under general direction, designs, develops, implements and tests complex UNIX operating system software subsystems; installs, maintains, and customizes new releases of UNIX operating systems; assists the UNIX Systems Group Supervisor in the maintenance and administration of several large scale UNIX computer systems; acts as a technical liaison for the UNIX Systems Group. Education: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering. Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in computer systems software, including 3 years or more of detailed experience with UNIX. A strong working knowledge of networks and network protocols is highly desired. Skills: 40 wpm typing skill on a VDT. Ability to communicate efficiently verbally and in writing; demonstrated analytical ability, good judgment, tact, patience, determination and organizational skills.
