Sorry for the short notice; I just saw a paper(!) copy of this. There is to be a U of T Sun Users' and Managers' meeting this Thursday, Oct. 8 in McLennan Labs room 137 (60 St. George St.). The agenda is ``to establish at U of T a loosely structured inter-campus wide (sic) consortium for sharing of expertise and information on Sun and Unix workstations''. It's being called by George Luste, who says he can be reached at 978-7132, luste@atlas.decnet.toronto.edu, or luste@utorphys.bitnet. Obviously the second order of business will be getting George on Usenet so we don't have to circulate dead trees with ink on them to arrange meetings :-). In addition to the usual benefits of users' groups, he hopes to arrange group purchases to get better prices from vendors, and possibly to set up a self-maintenance operation, again to save money. Please don't send me mail asking about this; the above is all I know about it. -- Geoff Collyer utzoo!utstat!geoff, utstat.toronto.{edu,cdn}!geoff This is just text for someone's code to eat instead of my addresses.
