[ut.general] Governing Council Elections

Unions. Once they're in, so are you!

	Fact...

Fact: There are only 2 Administrative staff representatives on Governing
      Council.

Fact: Only one of those seats is available in the Governing Council election.

Fact: CUPE and UTSA are strongly endorsing and supporting a candidate in this
      election.

Fact: The representative occupying the other Council seat is already an
      active UTSA supporter.

Question: So, who am I and where do I stand?

Answer: I am Rosi Tseu. I work for UTCS as a Communication Assistant.
I am campaigning for the one seat on Governing Council...
...and I don't like to be threatened by the union.

Question: Why do I want to be on Governing Council?

Answer: I want the opportunity to represent your views to Governing
Council. The University of Toronto is a first-class
institution but it didn't become one by itself. You made it what
it is today...so let's keep that tradition.
	...I care!

Question: Am I for or against a certified (CUPE-affiliated) Staff
	  Association?

Answer: Let's face it...
Although being a representative is totally irrelevant to whether or
not the Certification drive is successful, this is the question
that voters ask, and depending on your answer, will vote for or
	against one...

Let me give it to you straight...

If the majority of University staff's interests is a certified Staff
Association, then I am sworn to serve, as representative, the
	majority

	but...

If the majority of University staff's interests is an un-affiliated
Staff Association, it is your job to fully voice that interest, then,
let me serve, as representative, that majority.

Give me your vote. Send your ballot back with my name checked off.
