China Forum Toronto, OSIE, Aug 31 Thur 7:30pm =============================================================== Mr. Li Yi, editor of the Hong Kong magazine "The Ninties", will be the keynote speaker in a China forum sponsored by the Toronto Concerned Chinese Canadian Supporting the Democracy Movement in China, and the U. of Toronto Concerned Student Group. The other speaker is Professor K.B. Wong of York University. The forum will be held on Aug 31, Thursday, 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of OSIE (Ontario Institute for Studies in Education), 252 Bloor St. W. Toronto. Manadrin and Cantonese will be used. Every one is welcome. Mr. Li Yi is a well known China observer. He has been picked by Beijing Mayor's Report as editor of a "reactionary" magazine because Mr Li has written several penetrating articles about the present regime's problem in governing China. His articles have obviously hit the nail in the head causing such severe reaction from Beijing.
