Just read another paper on Berkeley's RISC project, in IEEE Micro I believe it was. Good stuff, recommended reading. But -- and here I come to the point of this note -- I suggest that it would be a service to humanity if the next RISC author perpetrating another awful pun on the word "risk" were strung up from a tree! It's gotten to the point where I grit my teeth every time I see the title of a RISC paper, and reading the acknowledgements is just impossible. Enough!
