Friends, I have been a frequent investor in Amdahl Corp. What I would like to know from all you experts is "How will IBM's Sierra Line impact on Amdahl." Now I've probably heard all the scare tales about IBM putting the PCM makers out of business. And indeed they have; MOST of them. However, Amdahl and NAS appear to be striving. I would like to know any rumors anyone has heard concering this Sierra Line and how you think it will (or will not) impact Amdahl. It appears to me that Amdahl is really exploding as of late with their new disk drives and communications equipment they're now selling. Does anyone think that Amdahl will begin selling Japanese supercomputers in the US in the near future? I understand that Amdahl's latest machine, the 580 series, is a Japanese machine. Any advice as to the future prospects of this company would be greatly appreciated.
