References: [ There is no line-eat<*munch*> ] Discussion here has been pretty dull for a month or so. I was about to liven things up by posting an article explaining that mice and menus were an even worse means of communicating with a computer than Hollerith cards (you'll have to guess whether that comes with a :-) or not), when it suddenly occured to me that this time -- in contrast to the 8086/rest-of-the-world fracas of late -- the subject really might not be appropriate for net.arch. So I thought I would ask whether other people thought that that would be an suitable topic. After all, it's sort of the topmost layer of the architecture (he said lamely) ... Seriously, I am interested in certain aspects of computer/user interfaces, and am looking for a place to discuss it. Jay, Maybe a new group should be started regarding user interface to a computer... Maybe it can be called net.cii(for computer interface issues) or some other name. I beleive that some traffic would warrent another newsgroup that handles these issues. Peter Barada {ihnp4!inmet|{harvard|cca}!ima}!pbear!peterb

... What about net.cog-eng (cognitive engineering (sp?))? I've seen discussions there about human interface... Such a newgroup already exists and is called net.cog-eng (for cognitive engineering issues). Human interface issues are the main topic of discussion in that group.
