In looking at big computers, we came upon the Alliant FX/8. I know nothing about these puppies, except that they are supposed to be fast, and that they run Unix as their native OS. Does anyone out there have any experience with them especially with respect to their integer scaler performance compared with, say, the IBM 3090? How about a dhrystone measure on them? What about reliability and customer service? What version of Unix do they run? How good is the port? Etc., etc., Anyway, thanks in advance to anyone who can help! -- If you don't like the answer, then ask another question! Everything is the answer to something...
