Can anyone recommend a (good) book for learning Ada? (or
warn against a particularly bad one). I've included
a list of the locally available books that I've seen so far.
Comments on any of these or any others you know of would be
greatly appreciated.

Also, since I'm (obviously?) a newcomer to Ada, I'd appreciate
hearing anybody's views on the question(s) "Why would/wouldn't I
want to learn Ada?".

The local bookstore's offering:
-------------------------------
	(1)	Ada: An Introduction, H. Ledgard

	(2)	Ada: An Advanced Introduction, N. Gehani

	(3)	Ada for Programmers, E. Olsen, S. Whitehill

	(4)	System Design with Ada, R.J.A. Buhr

	(5)	Programming in Ada, J.G.P. Barnes

	(6)	Software Engineering with Ada, G. Booch

	(7)	Programming Embedded Systems with Ada, V. Downes & S. Goldsack

	(8)	Ada for Experienced Programmers, A. Haberman & D. Perry

	(9)	An Introduction to Ada, S.J. Young

	(10)	Introduction to Ada, D. Price

	(11)	Studies in Ada Style, P. Hibbard et al.

	(12)	Programming in Ada, Wiener & Sincovec

Thanks for your help...
