Since the Janus compiler for the PC was mentioned, I thought it might worth noting that R&R is pricing their C-Pak (basic compiler/linker/library package) at $99.95 on a short term basis. This usually carries a $500 price tag. I'm not with R&R - I've just ordered one. They are quoting 4-6 week delivery, apparently because of delays getting documentation from their printer. For a hundred bucks, it's not a bad way to get acquainted with Ada. (THAT sounds like it ought to be on net.singles).

Ok.. I did call... and this package is a very limited version of their already limited compiler.... their full compiler is $900+ ... And they said they probably won't make certification until 1986. Another (what I consider) draw back is that they use their own linker... to be practical, it would be nice to have PC Dos linker compatible object files....
