I have had a couple requests from people looking for work in the Ada arena, both long and short term, full, and part time to post something to info-ada (therefore to net.lang.ada). I'd like to query the readership on what they think would be appropriate use here. (One person posted a request to net.wanted.jobs, but indicated abysmal response). One other possibility that I have considered is to have a list of those folks who are interested in work in Ada, and a list of those folks who have such work, and act in some sense as a clearinghouse for those sets of people (volunteers to help with maintenance welcome; flames to /dev/null, or its equivalent on your system!). Please send me your ideas, thoughts, (donations?), etc. Now is your chance to speak! ... for reader-supported mailing lists ... -- WETA is having its annual pledge drive -- Karl -- DDN: nyberg@isif, nyberg@utexas-20, Nyberg@mit-multics UUCP: ...!{rlgvax, seismo, umcp-cs, verdix}!vrdxhq!karl

As I'm sure you have already heard, hopefully from the moderator, job wanted ads and job available ads are inappropriate for posting to the ARPA distribution list. (Technically, I believe they are forbidden in all cases, i.e., that's not what the ARPA net is for.) However, perhaps if you serve as a private clearinghouse for the info, i.e. it goes only to you and you redistribute as appropriate only to those directly concerned, you may get away with it. I don't know if I would risk loosing my ARPA priveledges by taking the chance, though. Chery
