[net.lang.ada] Agenda for July ACM SIGAda Meeting in Pittsburgh

Brosgol@MIT-MULTICS.ARPA (06/28/86)

As all of you are aware by now, the Ada event of the summer is less than
a month away. I am of course referring to the ACM SIGAda Meeting in
Pittsburgh, July 23-25 (preceded by a Professional Development Seminar
on July 22). Registration information was sent out on info-ada last week
by the local arrangements coordinator, Suzanne Broughton. Below is the
latest version of the agenda of technical sessions to be held at the meeting.

I encourage you to attend. Thanks to the generosity of the host organizations
-- Tartan Labs, Software Engineering Institute, Pittsburgh High Technology
Council, and Buchanan Ingersoll Professional Corp. -- there is no registration
fee for the meeting. On the other hand, ACM wants to make some money, so
there is a nominal charge for the Professional Development Seminar.

Among the expected highlights of the meeting:
 * Briefings by the Software Engineering Institute
 * Policy updates from the Ada Joint Program Office
 * Working group and birds-of-a-feather sessions to match almost anyone's
taste -- including a new working group on commercial applications of Ada,
and another working group focusing on numeric libraries

So, if you want to get the latest news on who's doing what to whom in Ada,
then come to the Pittsburgh SIGAda meeting to find out. Besides,
it will give you the opportunity to savor a local delicacy, Iron City beer.

-Ben Brosgol, SIGAda Vice Chair for Meetings and Conferences
