                PROTOTYPE Ada* COMPILER EVALUATION
                       TEST SUITE AVAILABLE

The Prototype Ada Compiler Evaluation Capability (ACEC) Test
Suite, developed by the Institute for Defense Analyses, is
distributed by the Ada Validation Facility at Wright-Patterson
AFB. The test suite is contained on a single tape, available in
either VAX/VMS BACKUP or ANSI standard format. The tape is
accompanied by a users manual.

The prototype ACEC is intended to provide users with an organized
suite of compiler performance tests and support software for
executing these tests and collecting performance statistics.
These performance tests, which have been in the public domain for
some time, were collected by the Ada Evaluation and Validation
(E&V) Team and organized according to categories determined by
the Team. The users manual describes the test categories and the
strategy for measuring test performance and for obtaining
differential statistics.

To obtain the prototype Ada compiler test suite, submit your
request in writing, including tape format, on company letterhead.
This request should be accompanied by a new 2400-ft. magnetic
tape. Please send your request to:
