next Wednesday 10 November. I just hiked up to about the middle of Mambo Alley and skied down - the snow cover is pretty thin, and I predict that things will look pretty rocky after next weekend if we don't get some more snow pretty soon. What snow there is has been packed on the easy runs, but the fun ones like Sunspot and Corkscrew are going to be virtually unusable for a while. There is a slight chance of snow between now and Wednesday. If you went up there tomorrow you would find hard pack with few or no rocks showing (at the moment), some powder in the trees, but where it is exposed to the wind there has been some wind crust formed. On the other hand, if you went up there tomorrow, you would find arbitrarily short lift lines, because the lifts aren't running!
