FYI, you don't have to go to South America for skiing in the summer. Timberline, Oregon, opens year around. The summer slope Palmer is really nice and silky right now. The US and Canadian teams train here for a part of the summer. Another summer slope will be open in Oregon next summer - that's Mt. Bachelor.
