[net.rec.ski] request for New Hampshire skiing information

susan@ccivax.UUCP (12/09/83)

An old ski buddy of mine recently moved to Milford, near Nashua, N.H.
We would like to ski any areas within driving distance that might
appeal to intermediate|expert skiers. I would greatly appreciate any
information and suggestions that you could offer about skiing and
driving conditions.

I am also curious, has anyone ever skied Mt. Washington in the spring?
I've heard that there is a yearly trek to the summit with back packs
and skis. Just how difficult is it to ski?

Places to ski in NH:
Going from southern NH north,

Waterville Valley
Loon Mountain
both easily accessable from I-93

Wildcat
Attitash
Black Mtn
in Mt. Washington Valley, good roads (Rt.16, 302)

Bretton Woods
furthest north accessable from I-93 or Mt. Wash. Valley

In general, these areas are easily accessable and offer very good
to excellent skiing, depending upon snow conditions. Attitash
has very modern snow making facilities.
