Has anyone been to Whistler/Blackcomb lately? (If anyone's said anything about the area in this newsgroup I must have missed it.) I'm considering a trip up there for a few days later this month and would like to get a few comments from anyone who's been there. - How's the skiing!! Do they have a good variety of runs (intermediate)? What's the snow usually like during the latter part of February? What's the weather usually like? Predictable? - How's the highway between Vancouver and Whistler? Are cable chains legal in B.C.? (Will I need to use them at all?) - Is the area crowded during the week? - I'd like to spend one day skiing cross-country. How are the trails? (Should I expect 10 km of machine-made tracks on flat/level terrain, or 100 sq. mi. of hilly bushwacking, or nothing at all?) - How are accommodations at Whistler Village? bill frolik hp-pcd!bill
