RE:Information wanted on Whistler/Blackcomb -The skiing is not too bad, though not as good as it should, I believe theres only approx. 118 cm or so and not much new snow yet(but expected very soon)The last time i was up there(Jan 28,29) the skiing was good to my satisfaction and i had a great time, mostly partying at nite but overall enjoyable. Either mtn.has a great variety of runs from Blackcomb which has a few green runs to the majority of blues and a few black diamond runs,to Whistler's few green runs ,majority of blues and few black runs.In overview both mountains are intermediate mtns but these runs vary from "easy"intermadiate to "OHMYGODWHEREAMIGOING" intermediate runs. -Usually Whistler/Blackcomb is better at this time of year but due to warmer weather this year the annual "dump" is late, but expected very soon. The wether at this time of year is "very"unpredictable at any given moment. -The highway between Vancouver and Whistler Village is still under repair in some places from slides but it's still a 1 1/2 to 2 hour drive. As far as i know cable chains are not illegal in B.C. bring them along but they probably won't be required unless we get our snowfall. -The area is usually not crowded during the week(Thats when i usually take my "i don't feel so well, think i'll go skiing for the rest of the week"trip) -Alas the cross-country trails are stil hiking trails,There's no snow in the valley to ski on as a matter of fact, both mountains are still down-loading the last bit. -Accomadations are Expensive this time of year(capital E) and non- exsistant make sure from where you are that you have some, sorry i can't suggest any but i usually stay with friends that work there. Thats about all i know, just ask if you need anything else. Jim"honest, she skied like she was 16"Douglas 929-7136(E) 294-1471(D) AREA CODE 604
