[net.rec.ski] snow in Vermont?

I am planning a trip to Killington the first week of March,
and the recent unseasonably warm weather (it should be
68 here in Durham today) has me worried. Is New England
having similar conditions? Does anyone know how things are
looking at Killington?

I was skiing at Mt. Snow, Vermont last weekend (2/25-2/26). Trails with
snowmaking still had very good cover Sat. morning, but by the afternoon
bare spot were showing; the skiing was still pretty good (particularly at
higher elevations). The temperature dropped overnight, and they were making
snow all day Sunday; skiing was good again, but icy. The forecast
on Tues. (2/28) morning for Montpelier Vt. was heavy snow falling, and at
least a foot to come. I haven't checked back to see how much they got, but
if you call 802-229-0531, they will give you wether and conditions for all of
Vermont (updated daily about 7:30 a.m.).

Good skiing.
