I have not seen the "snowboards" but there is something similar based upon windsurfers (a surf board with a sail on it, definitely something to try!). skis are attached under the board and the person stands on top of the board. The speed you can pick up is supposed to be fairly large. It is not done downhill, but only in wide open basins, etc. Is anyone personally familiar with such beasts? Larry Lifshitz !mcnc!unc!lml
