OK all you skiers out there, here's your chance to help out a novice.
I have done a moderate amount of skiing on rental skis, so when I had
a chance to pick up some reasonably priced skis and boots at a two
different garage sales, I decided to go for it. However, I naively
assumed that things were standardized enough that any boots would fit
any bindings, and this does not appear to be the case. The skis are
fairly decent Rossignols with Lange bindings, while the boots are
relatively cheap SanGiorgios. What different types of boots/bindings
are available? If I decide to look for new boots, what do I need to
ask/look for?
