[net.rec.ski] Info wanted on PRE skis

docs@hocsf.UUCP (09/24/84)

I'm going out to buy new skis and I've finally decided
on the kind I want(after wading through tons of ski magazines).
I'm going to buy a pair of PRE 800 UVC, 180 cm. I've heard
a lot of good things about PRE skis and I was wondering if
anyone out there would like to comment on their performance.
(You can't comment on this particular model, since it's new
for this year.) Do any of you folk ski on PRE? Good reviews?
Bad reviews? Nasty?
I'll probably buy them anyway, but I would like to
see how the skiing public out there feels about this relatively
new ski manufacturing company.

	Thanks for any info,

Sharon,

Pre's (especially the 1200) are *real* popular in Colorado and Utah. They
are also extremely popular where I work (Hewlett-Packard in Ft. Collins).
They seem to work well in powder and bumps, thus their popularity in
Colorado and Utah.

I have been skiing a pair of 1200's for 2 years now, and have been very
happy. I think you'll like the 800's! There is a review of them in the
premier issues of Ski and Skiing magazines.
