We can see that it's snowing, and that Keystone will open this weekend!
I will be passing by Tahoe and Mammoth this weekend. If anything is
significant, I will post a report.
Those in the South SF Bay, if you work for a small company, don't don't have
anybody to ski with, the Ames Research Center Ski Club is open to non-NASA
employees. If you are interested, you can call Armando Lopez during the days
at (415)-965-5568 (until Nov. 5 when we use the new prefix of 694). Or

lets here it for the folks in UTAH!!! 3 feet in 24 hours. Just think of it: 1) no waiting in line (pack the car) 2) no traffic (pass up the drink) 3) parking close to the lodge (handle all you own equipment) 4) pre-season rates (get the boots on quick!!!) 5) no lift lines (1 person per triple chair) 6) October (no face mask on the way up!!! note WILDCAT fans) 7) @ the top, point the boards AND.... 8) NO BASE under the powder (details, details) 9) Bare (I mean large) spots (more details...) 10) FACE PLANT when rock,gravel split the ski's (needed a new pair anyway) 11) walk down carring $200-400 firewood w/ great paintjob (nice day for a hike) 12) WHICH WAY IS THE BAR......
