A friend and I are going to take the week after New Years and go skiing. However, we are not sure where we want to go. We've gone to Tahoe the last three years and would really like to go somewhere new. We will be leaving from San Diego and are looking for somewhere we can go in his four-wheel drive truck *or* someplace we can fly to. Some of the criteria that are high on our priority list-- Not too expensive (I am a graduate student) Not too crowded (We are willing to forego the absolute best for a little less crowds) Great snow, not east coast ice. Some of the places we have considered are Taos, Colorado, Utah. I would greatly appreciate any advice or tips from those who live in such places, those who have made similar trips successfully, and those who have just heard of such places. In particular, information about where to stay, how to get around (if we fly), where to eat, where to party, and (of course) what are the best places to ski near there would be appreciated. And, how to do the above with minimum expenditure and maximum fun. I will summarize the results to the net, so please mail the responses to me. -- Clark {ucbvax, decvax, akgua}!sdcsvax!sdcsla!clark
