I am an advanced intermediate skier who has never skied out west. Some friends moved to Colorado Springs, and I am planning to visit and try some slopes. Unfortunately, my March (good skiiing I hear) travel plans have fallen through, and I can't go until April 12. My question is: Can I still expect a reasonable experience, i.e conditions in the second or third weeks of April this year? I am considering the areas within a few hours of Colorado Springs. Please reply, because I need to decide soon.
