I am planning on going to Colorado around December 1 or 2 because that seems to be the only place where there is skiing now, and the airfare is still cheap (until Nov. 15). Can any of you skiers out there tell me how the conditions are. Is it worth the trip so early in the year? Thanks in Advance Marianne Sarno BTL-Lincroft (210) 576-3080 8-253-3080

>> Subject: Information Needed about Colorado Skiing !!
You can expect some good spring skiing in Colorado in April. Most ski areas
close on either April 7 or April 14, however, some stay open as long as the
snow is good and skiers come in enough numbers to justify remaining open (the
latter is usually the reason several places finally close for the 'summer').
I will list a few places where you might want to ski (enjoy):
Arapahoe Basin elev. 10780-12450 closes in May (or June or July)
Copper Mountain elev. 9600-12250 closes 'late April'
Keystone/North Peak elev. 9300-11660 closes 'early May'
Loveland Basin elev. 11000-12430 closes in May (or June or July)
Vail elev. 8100-11250 closes April 21
From Colo. Springs go N. ~1hr. to Denver on I-25 then W. 1-2hrs on I-70
