[net.rec.ski] Sierra Snow, 9/8/85

eugene@ames.UUCP (Eugene Miya) (09/09/85)

[Hope Bill Putnam didn't get too much rain.]

Snow report: Bishop Pass, 11,800 9/7/95 11 am
Snow level: 10,000 feet. Dense cloudiness, blowing snow,
Wind,W 10-15 MPH. No base, no pack. Rime covering certain exposed areas.
Patches of snow down to 10,000. Day temp approx. 30 F. Snow was
wet, but not drippy. Post holing in talus was a sure way to break a
leg, I tried.

Jan Steinman if you are reading this could you post something about Oregon
weather conditions [region, Hood is okay, I'm think Thanksgiving time].
And if the people in CO are reading this, I wouldn't mind a occasional
weather report as I want to try Longs Peak next week.
