To pique everyone's skiing appetite, here are some of the changes coming this ski season to Colorado ski areas. - Breckinridge opens Peak 10. That resort now has 3 separate peaks open for skiing: 8; 9; and 10. Peak 7 is still in the planning stages. - Keystone will offer night skiing this year. A lift ticket can be bought for 'regular' hours, 1/2 day, 2pm to close, and I'm sure other combinations. [Comment: This is a boon to us commuter-skiers who drive up for a day of skiing. I always was a late sleeper; now I won't have to sleep on the lifts :-) :tnemmoC] - Vail has a new 4-person lift. - Loveland has a new lift. - Winter Park has several new trails and a new lift at its Mary Jane area. - Lake Eldora [a small ski area 30 miles west of Boulder] has been sold. It was the last family-owned-and-run resort in Colorado. The new owner bought it with the promise from Boulder County for building permits for condos. The building/expansion has been frenetic this year after another year of record-breaking sales and profit. I'm sure I missed some of the changes; does anyone know of others?
