We are looking into acquiring a Unix* system to supply text formatting facilities to our academic community. In preparation for this possibility I am inquiring about any available system accounting/control and/or security packages available for Unix. We are looking at a VAX 11/780 system running Berkley 4.1 or 4.2 Unix. I know about the facilities already available with Berkley Unix (sa, vlimit, wtmp, quot, etc.) and would be interested in any new ways of using them. I have ideas about how to implement this myself but would like to see what is available publicly or commercially first. Any information regarding such packages would be greatly appreciated.
