[net.usoft] C shell command completion

thomas@utah-gr.UUCP (Spencer W. Thomas) (10/03/83)

(Note the newsgroup list - discussion about sources should really go
into net.usoft.) Anyway, if you get 4.2bsd, /usr/new/csh is a c-shell
with filename completion built in. Anybody got "alias recognition"
working? I would sure love that.

I'm the author of the Cshell with filename completion. After wnj fell
off the face of the earth (moved to SUN) I lost contact with UCB and
did not know if my filename completion stuff would be distributed in 4.2.
No one contacted me so I didn't send UCB any updates. Anyway, the
latest version I recently posted to the net (net.sources) is an
improved version of the former including command name completion in
addition to file name completion. Y'all ought to use that one instead
of the one distributed with 4.2.

The current version does not consider aliases on recognition.
I may add it in the distant future, but I'm afraid I'm too busy right now.
