Does anyone out there have (or know of) a 6800, 6801, or 6301 C cross-compiler? We would gladly pay postage, copying costs, etc., and if there is a sales price, let me know what it is and we'll think it over. Please reply directly to me; if anyone else is interested let me know and I'll send copies of the replies (if any). If there is enough interest, I'll post a summary to the net. The sad fact is that the 6800 family simply can't support a C compiler efficiently. The most you could hope to do is bring up a cross-compiler running under UN*X, and even then the resulting code would be pretty bad. The 6800 is a lot better than the 6502 for high-level language support, but still isn't powerful enough. Your best bet is to upgrade to a 6809, which doesa very nice job of supporting decent high-level languages. --Bernie Roehl ...decvax!utzoo!watmath!watarts!bernie
