#N:haddock:12400009:000:750 haddock!paul Jun 10 01:19:00 1984 From: paul at ISM780 To: net.lang.c ----- Please, send me no more lectures (or flames) about how `c' really ought to be an int rather than a char, and how the value of an assignment expression is the value assigned to the lefthand side. To my amazement, several people have (incorrectly) concluded from my previous posting on the subject that I am ignorant of these matters. I guess paging through all those dumb discussions [e.g. return e; vs return(e);] tends to put the brain to sleep, or worse. I'll save them up for some time when I'm feeling especially grouchy, and then answer them :-). --------
