How about doing your C software development on a UNIX system and exporting
the code to the target system for development.  I can think of about a dozen
advantages to doing this and only a couple of drawbacks.

Good. You can mail my Unix system to - oops, it won't fit in the mail,
will it. I guess I'll have to settle for a check for $26,000 for a Sun.

Oh, come on.  There are lots of UNIX systems you can get time on.
My suggestion about cross-system development on UNIX was quite serious.
