In a recent message (this morning, too early to be typing news in), I made a glaring error. I said that C couldn't tell the type of functions, which of course isn't true if the function is a) declared or b) seen by compiler before it is used. What I actually MEANT to say (as I hope was clear from the context), was that C couldn't know the types of function PARAMETERS in a function call.
