[net.lang.c] Is "Vectorizing C compiler for the Cray" a hoax?

Several people have rightly complained that such a modification would
make the language something other than C.  However, I wonder if any of
them noticed that the article was posted on April 1!

Well, Mr. Brooks, is it a hoax?
