Has anybody considered the possibility of a C compiler for the INMOS transputer? Building a dynamical OS for a transputer is difficult at best with the current OCCAM definition. Can anybody suggest a good candidate for a back-end rewrite? I'm only interested in a C compiler that runs under Unix and is preferably written in C. If anybody can share some wisdom on this subject, I would appreciate an e-mail reply. ARPA: gdburns@batcomputer.tn.cornell.edu CSNET: gdburns%batcomputer.tn.cornell.edu@csnet-relay

Far out! Remember the Star Trek `Halloween' episode? The `Transputer' was a magic wand which changed these alien creatures looking somewhat like ginger roots into human form. Small world, huh?

Transmuter. A little Latin will tell you that means something like "Across Shape"r. Shape changer. -- Tommy Phillips The Gibbelins eat, as is well known, nothing less good than Man. cisden!phillips
