This was asked recently, but I saw no answer in my (selective) reading of info-c. Anyone know: - to what address I write to order a copy of the current draft ANSI standard for C? - what is the exact amount of $$$ to send? Also, anyone know what the current state of the proposed standard is? How close is it to being "finished?" Who has something like a validation suite for ANSI C? How close to AT&T C is the draft standard? Is this going to be AT&T versus the world? Are there competing proposals, or is everyone going to agree on this one? -jns

Re: Ansi validation suite for C: Many compiler vendors use Perennial's suite. It tests Kernighan and Ritchie's C, but Perennial claims that updates to the draft standard will be available as the standard evolves. Perennial 4677 Old Ironsides Drive Suite 450 Santa Clara, California 95054 408/727-2255 Caution: We found that several of the tests did not apply to our architecture and timezone. Even so, it seems to be a good testbed.

There was also a C validation suite advertised in the August 4 issue of Computerworld, but I don't remember the name of the company.
