Heard on the news that Magnavox is attempting to take legal action based on their claim that they own the basic patent on the original video game concept (way back to the pong things) and that they should receive royalties from the sale of EVERY last video game product sold anywhere?!?!?! They are apparently climbing on Mattel now, claiming they own the rights to Intellivision or something.

Creative Computing magazine has an article about "The Real Inventor of Video Games" Seems a govt. employee invented a tennis type video game back in the '50s, but never patented it. Besides, I'll bet Space Wars on PDP-8 with oscilloscope predates any Magnavox effort by years.
