I just got a Vectrex system and it is even better than the rave reviews on the
net say it is! This has to be the most underrated, overlooked video game
system on the market. If you want arcade quality game system, this is it. I
don't see how people can settle for Atari or Coleco or Intellivision if they
have tried Vectrex.
Now that I've gushed over it like a teenager with a crush on a teacher I have
a question. I was playing Berzerk the other night and right as I lost my
last man, at about 6??0 points, The game went berzerk and the screen flashed,
then the screen with the high score came up with 322220 as the high score.
Before this happened there was a bright spot in the far upper left hand corner
of the screen, like the sun was rising in the picture. This was the first time
I had broken the 5000 mark and got an extra man so I thought maybe the cartridge
or the game was faulty but, since that game I haven't had a problem. It just
happened that once and my apartment is pretty dry so I was wondering if this
could have been due to static electricity (it was certainly a shock to me).
Does anyone know? Beside that one game of Berzerk it has worked perfectly.
