Many thanks to the 8 or so respondents to my joystick pinout query. I have combined all responses into the list below (fortunately, there were no conflicts!). Seems safe to assume the following applies to any machine using the 9-pin connector and on/off joysticks. Did you know there were two ANALOG (trackball) inputs reserved? You can use Color Computer sticks on a 5200! Straight from the Atari Hardware Manual, plus Vic-20 Owner's manual, page 149: 1 2 3 4 5 . . . . . DB-9 connector . . . . 6 7 8 9 1.
