Possible bad news for us Vectrex lovers. Went to the local McDade's yesterday (a catalog showroom discount chain around Chicago), and noticed that the once-crowded-and-dense video games & computer area was rather wide open. In particular, all Vectrex items were gone. The salesboy said they quit carrying the line. I said "Why, not selling many?" "Like zero" he replied, or words to that effect. Meanwhile, Sears has been selling the machines for $80. Hope they're moving, because poor sales will kill the golden goose for the rest of us. BTW, I've always thought that Vectrex games should sell a little cheaper (now that all other games systems are down in the teens & 20's), and they should have encouraged 3rd-party support, but did the oppposite (just like TI, rememember them?) mike k
