If there is anyone else interested in bitching about Modula-2's inadequacies and would like to see a net.lang.modula, lobby for it. I would love to see a net.lang.modula, but not to bitch about its inadequacies. I happen to like the language. Alan Driscoll Bell Labs, Murray Hill

I, for one, would be very interested in a Modula-II group. Anyone else please speak up! -David Kovar Dartmouth College, Hanover NH

This is my indication of interest in Modula-II, discussions here or in net.lang.ada or in a newsgroup of its own (net.lang.m2 ?). Especially the desirability in the real-time systems development market for Modula-II development systems (syntax-directed editor, compiler, high- level debugger). Who is using Modula-II, for what, what target or host systems? Native? We have a home-grown Modula-II cross-compiler for the 68000. Have used it to develop embedded instrument control and data analysis systems. Also have the ETH compiler for the PDP-11 and have used it in native and VAX compatibility modes to develop software tools. -- Scott Herzinger Tektronix, Inc.
