We are interested in doing some performance and execution analysis of Pascal programs. The Pascal compiler provides not sufficient tool support, since it collects only data from one test run, and it is not working for separately compiled files. We would like a tool like TCAT/Pascal, a Test Coverage Analysis Tool for Pascal, developed by Software Research Ass., which measures the segment level coverage - which should result in less overhead, but provide the same information - for a set of Pascal programs under test on a test-by-test and cumulative basis. It is like a pre- and postprocessor to the Pascal compiler. Is a tool like this already available somewhere? Is there any tool in the public domain or inexpensive to get? Who could give further information? Please reply to voges@LOCUS.UCLA.EDU Udo Voges, UCLA-CSD, 4731 Boelter Hall, Los Angeles, CA 90024 (213) 206 2853
